The CDW Scholarship Recipient Enrichment Program focuses on making sure our women students, many of whom are nontraditional, have special programming aimed specifically at helping them build networks and succeed both on and off The Ohio State University’s campuses. See below for the variety of events that have been offered to the CDW scholarship community.

Writing Across the Curriculum
The Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program will create a group workshop especially for CDW participants through a mix of short writing activities, discussion, and active, hands-on learning to assist us in becoming better writers! http://cstw.osu.edu/wac
Halloween at the Conservatory
Dress up in costume and take part in the following family activities compliments of CDW
- Visit 7 trick-or-treat stations
- Create Halloween hats and bats
- Create spooky spin art ($2) or get a temporary tattoo
- Watch glassblowing demonstrations, 12 - 4pm
- See Gus the Squash Carver, 1:30 - 3:30pm
- Take a guided tour of the ScottsMiracle-Gro Community Garden Campus, 3pm
Study Day @ the RPAC
Come study or relax for 3 hrs in a quiet space with fellow CDW women while the children play in the gym and watch a movie with OSU camp counselors. Feel free to bring your children or nephew, nieces, god children, etc! Simply be sure to RSVP with Melissa at firstname.lastname@example.org
Cocktails at the Conservatory
Enjoy entertainment, specialty cocktails, full bar offerings, small plate menu, and weekly giveaways at Cocktails at the Conservatory, on the Rooftop Gardens, compliments of CDW.

Healthy Eating Workshop: From Recipe Rookie to Supermarket Savvy
Learn how you can plan easy, well-balanced meals that are delicious and nutritious to make. Discover tips and techniques for meal planning, grocery shopping, label reading, and eating healthy on a budget. Get hands-on, practical experience on how to make healthy meals on a budget from a vegan chef.
Treat yourself to an afternoon of relaxation and healthy-living tips! You will learn relaxation techniques, including yoga positions, and ways to create your own spa with items in your kitchen cabinet, plus enjoy a relaxing massage. Appetizers and tea will be served.
Professional Presentation Workshop: Mary Kay/Image Anu
Image Anu, LLC, a boutique firm specializing in brand development, image building and style consultations, will offer tips on self-presentation in the workforce and suggestions on the best clothing to represents your career goals. You will also receive make-up tips from two Mark Kay consultants regarding the best way to present your beauty daily and in the workforce.
