The CDW Scholarship Recipient Enrichment Program focuses on making sure our women students, many of whom are nontraditional, have special programming aimed specifically at helping them build networks and succeed both on and off The Ohio State University's campuses. See below for the variety of events that have been offered to the CDW scholarship community.

Stress Management, Mindfulness and Resiliency

Lisa Borelli, LISW-S and expert from the Ohio State Health Plan, will share mindfulness techniques and how to develop resiliency. We will also be learning exercises to help relieve stress!

Refreshments will be served at 2:30pm. The presentation will begin promptly at 3pm.

Applying to Graduate School Workshop

Interested in applying to graduate school? Considering graduate school or professional school, even if it's years down the road? Join us for dinner and a workshop.

Learn how to make your application shine! Sarah Meyers, an associate from the Office of Career Counseling and Support Services, will give a special presentation on application tips tailored to the women of CDW. Even if you don't plan to apply for a few years, this presentation can give you wonderful insight for when you are ready.

Dinner will be served at 6:30p. Presentation will begin promptly at 7p.

Don't worry about fighting for a seat in the library! We have a private, quiet conference room reserved all day just for the women of CDW to utilize.

This is a private space for the women of CDW to study and prepare for upcoming finals on Reading Day. Lunch vouchers will be provided for attendees to enjoy lunch at the Marketplace Dining Hall located across the street from Younkin.

End-of-Semester Celebration

A fun, family event to celebrate the end of another semester!

Bring your children, spouse/partner, and yourself to enjoy a day of fun at the Recreation & Physical Activity Center (RPAC). The kid-friendly leisure pool, lap pools, giant hot tub, saunas, basketball courts, and fitness equipment* will be available to all guests. Lunch will be provided to all attendees as well!

In addition, the Kids Zone will be open. This is a free childcare service for any attendees who wish to get a workout in while their child(ren) enjoy fun activites supervised by RPAC staff.

Interview Workshop

Interviews for internships, research positions, summer employment, and scholarships are coming up soon so you'll want to be prepared. Join us for an interactive workshop on how to participate in interviews that leave a positive impression. Topics covered will be: how to dress, answer common questions, and prepare for your interview. We will also have a few mock interviews so that we can practice our new skills. As always there will be dinner and door prizes.

Resume and Cover Letter Workshop

Join CDW for dinner and job application advice. Learn how to make your cover letter and resume look outstanding. A presenter will offer tips on creating a resume and cover letter as well as provide some insight on how to create a resume suited for different positions.

The end of the semester is near and summer is right around the corner! Before summer begins we have to take finals! The CDW Program is hosting student tables on Thursday April 28. Room 324 in the Younkin Success Center will be reserved from 8am until 8pm. Lunch will be provided! This is a great opportunity since the libraries and other spaces can become crowded during finals week.

If you are coming please RSVP by Thursday, April 21st, 2016. We want to ensure that there will be enough food!

This is also our last CDW event for the academic year so we hope to see you there!
